Bought some off-brand polishing pads for my eheims. Came with 2x the pads for half the price. Considering that, I used all six pads, with three in each filter instead of one. Came home today to find the tank crystal clear. I was able to look through the long end of the tank (7ft) and see clearly out of the other side.P1040722[1].JPG P1040723[1].JPGI thought I would go ahead and share my discovery and maybe it would help you if you didn't know.

As I said before, the slate is the way it is to try to saturate the log with tank water.

What would the personality of these fish be like?
With that much filtration the bio load won't be bad and tetras aren't that messy most small fish aren't messy. The most bio load in the tank is from ur bgk but it's fine if u really want ur tank to be super clean just buy a smaller canister filter to add more filtration like I do.
Each fish has its own personality
From what I can see here the tetras will be very active swimming all around and they'll create their own hierarchy within themselves and also be chased by the geophagus and acaras occasionally. The bgk will mind it's own business maybe explore the tank occasionally

Do you have any suggestions for any more bad@ss fish. So far all that we have agreed on are the bleeding hearts (which aren't very bad@ss) not to be rude)). This time I mean an eel or something that looks aggressive (but not aggressive in behavior, like the Severum).

I was looking at vampire tetras (thinking they would grow less than 4", being a tetra), but I was fooled by the name. They get 2 feet long. Not the 3" I originally thought.
