People try to get their money back on what they spent,that isn't how fish tanks work,its like a car that loses its value over the years.
 
I found someone today wanting to traid a 500 acrylic for a pistols. I had to email them and see I would give up my glock for a 500 any day.

It will also be their tank for quite some time if they want 600 bucks for their 55 gallon and stand.

Can't really "play it" with some people on Craigslist!


It can go the same with selling a tank on Craigslist. I'm selling a 125 with glass tops and the lights which came with it when I bought it. Asking only 90 bucks, because I need the money. ALOT of people emailed me asking if I could go lower to 50 bucks, or we email each other then they say I can come over for 50 bucks or something stupid. I just don't email them back.
 
Its hit and miss. I have found ridiculous deals on there....both over and under priced. Once I found a 55 with light, hood, heater and metal stand for $25. I flipped it the next day for $75 worth of stuff. My brother got an acrylic 125 and 55 (both drilled) for $100 for both!

I have also found a 29 full set up for $350. Some people are just crazy. The false advertising is what makes me made. People with 55s but think they are 150s. Claiming to have an 8" fish and it really 2". They are either stupid or dishonest...most likely both.

Ive seen a bunch of these and I no how you feel theres like a 90g going for $500 and Ive responded to a bunch of people and told them good luck on selling because anybody in their right mind wouldnt buy it for the price. however A couple ive seen were saltwater tanks which came with live rock like fuji etc and they were in the thousands which I can see because that rock is expensive as heck and not to mention the price on saltwater fish especially in ohio or anyother place thats not saltwater because you have to order the fish online, which Ive looked and theyre pretty expensive.

I swear these guys selling saltwater tanks are crazy. They think they can get what they paid for it.. The truth is with this hobby whenever you are going to sell you are going to lose probably 75% of the value of the things that you bought new :/

I can see the salwater tanks being more especially if they have fish, live rock and or live coral with them because they're more expensive to freshwater. I mean large fuji rock is like $250 for a large piece and some of them have alot which will bump the price up alot. but alot of the tanks for sale arent and dont come with this stuff they're just trying to get more than what they paid for it to get money back lol
 
I just got 500 Gallons for $780.00 basically. Plus U-hal $150.00.

7'x2.5'x4'x1.5" Acrlyic, Will need some buffing for scratches and a couple gouges. This thing is super Thick and super tall. It was a super easy move with 3 people, 2 furniture dolly and a arm froktruck "Straps" garage to garage.
