Annoying Family/Friends

why dont u goes go "high securty" i know i will. it will be a steelframe with looked hood and cabinet and when people come into the roomthe tanks are displayed but they cant get within 5' thanks to polycaronate wall so they can tap all they want. o course with a key i could get within 5 feet. i know that i will look up everything but i might not need the bulletproof.

five minutes ago i went to feed my albino sen and the gars that i have kept in a grow out tank
(as they are too small to be added along with the big guys )
i found my albino sen out of the tank dry as a bone
i tried putting him back in the tank but he had no life left in him
then i went down and after speaking to my mother i came to know that my youngest brother had opened the tank in the morning and had not closed it right and because of him my little albino sen had to pay the price
i am so angry



edit: it seems it wasn't my brother, it was the maid who had moved the tank cover while she was dusting it

I'm at university atm and my tank is currently under my parents and sisters control and gawd they complain. But the tank is perfectly stable (i've lost no fish over the last year) whereas my mates are losing fish far too often and i'm not even at home.
My parents though, love watching the fish i know, cos when they come to visit they rave about how "xxx fish was following xxx fish the other day and so and so" which i always find amusing.
My sister's a legend, she loves looking after them and i've given her a strict feeding rota with number of pellets and frozen foods etc, and the fish look great
My next challenge is sneeking a 6ft into the new house that i'm moving into near uni without my parents noticing... Any suggestions? Lol

i put out a very strong death threat to who ever touches my tank with out my permission... my family dont touch nothing they only feed a little yellow belly turtle i have... if i go away and stuff needs to be fed i leave exact amouts needed... im lucky nobody messes with my stuff when kids come over on holidays etc... im also lucky that there parents keep them under control and wont let them near my stuff...

LOL death threats. Seems like one has to, otherwise, ppl don't listen and still think its ok to mess with tanks.

Maybe headbanger should give his maid death threats? lol jk.

My father hates fish... and just about everything living (including people )
so I get hell everytime I buy fish stuff. He just about got a heart attack when I bought a 5 gallon.... probably will kill me when he sees the 15 gallon . I can't afford a larger tank though... cause if I push it too much I know he is capable of throwing it down the porch after having flushed my fish if I get anything bigger than a 15 gallon!
There is really no reasoning or explaining or ANYTHING with him... he is kind of insane, even my mom tells me she has long given up trying to understand whats going on in his mind... its a lost cause!
Hate how he gets pissed off when I have to move out with the fish tank in the car, he is always telling me to "dump the stupid fish in the garbage bin and buy a new one when your there".

My mom is also sooo annoying!! She has her own beta now (thanks to me he got out of his .5 gallon and in to a nice 5g heated and with REAL beta food... not the stupid flakes the poor thing wont eat!). She threatens to call the animal protection association on me cause she thinks feeding him 3-4 small blood worms twice a day is cruelty, she gives her fish tons and he's pretty fat now! Every time it wiggles she is like "look, hes moving, he must be hungry!!"

Those that piss me off the worst are my roomies though! One of them just does not give a damn about fish, they are accessories and she just like shrudded indeferently when her five fancy guppies (1 female 4 males) died 3 days after she dumped them in a high and narrow rectangular flower vase with like nothing else.
She was also a tad lazy to clean the water that was totally fouled with food cause the fish did not eat.

She is not being hypocritical though, she just does not give a damn!
My other roomie is the one that annoys me the most! She is a "I know everything and I'm ultra intelligent and everyone other than me is stupid" type of person... yet she got angry at me for criticising her about keeping a rose danio in less than 1 LITRE of water for months. Her LITERAL "knowledge" of fish is "its moving see?? It can't be sick it just moved!"
She was pissed of and telling me she was taking good care of it because she would feed it (sometimes... when she felt like it) and changed his water (when she felt like it.... not very often)
And WTF?? It's not like she even has an excuse or anything... she is a biology student and actually STUDIES fish a lot in her classes!!
So my guess is she is simply VERY much hypocrit!

Man I SOOOOOO wanted to punch her face out and lock her up in a tiny cupboard for the rest of her all-of-a-sudden very short life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Also have another friend who pisses me off when it comes to animals... she would not harm mine because she knows our friendship would end there, and she is actually very fun to be with when pets are not around... but I hate knowing she would torture the poor thing if it was hers and she was alone with it...

I can't really blame her or truly be mad at her though, she is a type 2 sociopath so her little world is different than mine and she does not have the type of consciousness normal people possess! Still kinda hate to know she would be happy to torture pets though! :S

I have a few know it all friends. They're the ones that bother me the most. They tell me what the pet store told them and swear it's law, just because "well the guy who works in the fish room there told me it's ok".

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i have a 4 year old 30cm bala shark who is my pride and joy (has his own tank) and my dad thought he would give me a helping hand by not waiting for me to clean it, but he took all the gravel out of the tank, washed it and then caught the shark with his hands, puts it in saucepan THEN proceeds to take all the water out of the tank and fill it with tap water that is cold and just throws the shark in! aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggh so angrrrry then i said to him "why did u do that. your gonna kill him" and he was liek "i know more about them then you,. i just thought i would help you by doing it this week" now my bala shark is lying on the gravel and breathing verrrrrrrrrrry heavily. if you guys see me on the news, as a mass murderer then you know why and DONT give me up.
