another drop eye concern

so the only wild aro you saw was housed in a tank?

finding large masses of pics of wild arrowana's is near impossible thanks to them being so popular in the hobby. searching for pictures just leads to many home aquarist's pics. but the few that i have seen so far have had no drop eye.

no, i never seen any wild aros hardly at all. but the one i did, had drop eye as well. so all this bs talk about only tank raised aros get it, wild aros do too. so i dont see the problem with our aros having it, it aint gonna change, it doesn't make the fish less apealing or any less cool. its just DE, its like wearing goofy glasses all day, still the same fish, jus slight cosmetic appearence change.

people shouldn't stress on DE, if it was deadly i could understand.

and john, ill tell fu man chu you said waddup haha.

drop eye does slightly deminish the overall look of the arowana, but if i had the space i'd surely take an aro, DE or not.

but the fact is, from what i can understand the only wild aro you saw was in a tank (or no?) which would explain the drop eye. I've seen a few wild ones that are actually in the wild, and none of them have had drop eye.

the first few pics i have found, none with DE.

no man, no wild aro in a tank, im talking about a wild aro in the wild jumping to catch a bug in a tree. and that wild aro had DE...

you only think it hurts the appearence because you dont own one. i got used to it i guess.

so your saying it wouldn't be nice if your aro didn't have DE?

i didnt say that. im jus saying, its more then the eyes that makes me enjoy my arowanas. its the personality, its the size, its the fish. Not his eye... so my fish having DE doesn't affect me in any way. not enough for me to start a thread saying AW MAN MY ARO HAS DE or DAMN, WHY DOES HE HAVE IT, HOW DO I GET RID OF IT... and you posted 2 fish, 1 dead silver but i can only see 1 eye, and 1 asian aro that even has slight DE.

why u stressing over DE, you dont own a arowana lol

the video had a drop eye free fish. i'm tellin ya, drop eye isn't natural at all.
