Another entrant into arowana kingdom

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats the problem :( a few bucks more and i could get a super red and so on and so forth :D

thought i'll draw the line with the Banjar :)

demon: rtg isnt much more, litereally, there is a huge jump with a RTG and a super read.
Banjar and RTG is closer in price, B UT
its your first aro, why not get a cheaper one, in a few years, sell it and get another perhaps? its a learning curve i reckon.

tanning is the use of bright lights in the path where the arowana swims past the most, some even put it on the side of thetank, i didnt, it spooks it.
this bring sout hte colours.

also the background matters.

put a black background, back and sides for the 1.5 or super reds and red aros i was told, i also used black or dark gravel.
this colours them up too.
i used to begin with 2x 4 foot lights, aqua glow and a power glo.
n the stickys, there is a tanning info one. check it out.

there is no point of going hardcore with metal halides and stuff, cos banjars will only colour up to a certain extent - if youb uy super reds, maybe worth investing in metal halidse and the like

your soo lucky... when i move back to canada for school, i want to stay in fish keeping but i wanna save money to buy me an asian aro since they are legal up there. im shooting for an RTG or this guy http://www.dragonfish.ca/Panda_Red.htm

would love a full grade red!
agreed. but ive always like jardinis especially high grade ones that have darks scales with red accents

if you had cash choose the gold species

i wish RTGs were just a little above banjar's in price but out here there's a lot of difference which i just cannot afford :(

and yes got the black gravel and the black background and the lights as well. today is the day i start setting it up :D

sweet i need pictures now lol
