I would love to go hunting in Africa

There isn't much hunting by American in Africa. Almost all canned hunts where you drive up to them to shoot them. Pretty much like the pretend hunting preserves here.

Not really. The wildlife reservations may be fenced but it goes miles and miles and you will have hard time to find a specific individual out in the large area which can be thousand or even million square miles which is enough to hold populations of both prey and predators. This isn't like a canned hunt. It will take days to tracking down a specific target and stalking it before goes in for a kill. Depends at which wildlife reservation, you may not have a choice for walking around where lions and leopards are present. You have to be dumb for not take a vehicle out in the harsh environment full of dangerous predators. Of course you are not allowed to shoot at animals from a vehicle.

just a few thoughts about what has been said and not so much about the topic.

First. most of those animals were not technically endangered. Not sure about the leopard but the others not.

second. For all those that say let nature take its course wouldn't that include getting rid of any conservation effort?? Natural vs unnatural ok well conservation efforts would definitely not fall under these "natural" guide lines.

third. so lets say conservation biologists have deemed it necessary to cull one of the animals would it not be better to let a trophy hunter who is willing to spend money on it shoot the animal. I mean the animal is going to die anyway might as well make money off it.

fourth i think it is really funny at how childish some of y'all have gotten. i mean seriously what is the point of that?

The leopard is listed as near threatened as a species, though it would be considered endangered through many of it's locations in Asia, the African population is fairly stout.

Not sure if anyone said this yet or not but she didn't kill all of the animals shoot. Some of the endangered animals were shot with darts to put them to sleep so vets and scientist could work on the animals. Dart hunts are a very common practice on reserve's to raise money to help endangered animals. Yes she did shoot to kill some of the animals but Africa has very strict laws on hunting as the wildlife is the main reasons for tourism and tourism is the largest income for Africa.

Insults have killed another thread.

No being a baby just showing that depending on what side of an issue you fall on depends on what kind of treatment you get.

Honestly, you can't see the difference? Your thread went quickly from target shooting to types of guns. This thread remained, albeit too long, on the ethic of hunting. Not on types of guns.
