The only thing that is called a ute in North America is a "Sport Ute" because we need 5000 different names for the types of vehicles we have :screwy: Mind you considering we are talking about the home of the Suburban assault vehicle... doesn't really surprise me :D
 
Sport ute, do you ever shorten it to ute or is that as short as it goes? If we want to say Sport ute we usually say SUV or Fourby, or 4x4 r 4wd
 
I live in the city that is home to the Hummer .. so Utility is something like a hummer to me ... and a pick up is far from a utility vehicle .. more of a work vehicle
