Hopefully one of my last questions. Is there any downside to ordering the dry rock from brs now? Can it sit for a while without harm because its dry rock?

You will have no issue having the dry rock sitting around. It's basically doing the same thing just in BRS storage. You could put the dry rock in a garbage with water, powerhead and some live rock and start to seed it.
