Another WalMart Rescue Attempt...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow wally world has senegals now? one of the walmarts around here doesn't have any disease and they feed them correctly...how much were they? if not that much i may pick up a couple.

You should be commended for your atempts to save these fish. As for the thinking of boycotting walmart pets department, even if we as responsable fish keepers were to boycott walmart the general fish buying public way out numbers us and walmart would never see the results of are efforts.

Actually I can't even remember the last time I've bought a fish at wally mart.

yeah they have sens at my walmart. they were under 5 bucks if i remember right.

tanks aren't terribly bad here... almost like a bad petsmart or petco... which is pretty goodf or wally world lol.

they had a foot long rope fish there i almost bought today. only reason i almost did is because i cant find them any place else in town. had nice color and was big... but I think it had that fungus infection they get that is incurable and it wasn't worth the risk...

Rope eel?
is that a rope fish aka a reed fish?

Well .... Keeper Of The Ropes - no photo's of the little buggers?

... I can't wait ... got the popcorn for the show! :D
Show some before shots followed up with a few of them back to health!

slimecoats regenorate reatively quickly if i remember correctly....but i'm still kinda wanting to see what they look like right now to see how horrible it has been kept...

its nice what you're doing :) good luck with the rescue! hopefully all 3 will make it :headbang2

another thing you might want to do is add some salt to the tank just to reduce stress, help the slime coat, and possibly cure any diseases they may be carrying
