I just got into the hobby and recently got my P. Polleni from a LFS at about 5.5"-6" and was wondering if there's any good advice to go about keeping them with other cichlids. From what I've heard, they are pretty aggressive to fish that are introduced to the tank after them. Also from what others have said, I constantly hear that their Polleni is being punked or their Polleni is too aggressive. Mostly mixed experiences with Polleni. Any way to keep a Polleni in between the two? I'd like him to be able to defend himself but not be too aggressive. I've seen vids of Polleni getting along with SA/CA cichlids but also seen vids of them lip locking and attacking fins.

At the moment, I have about a 6-7 of Black Tetras and Red-fin Tetras, 3 cory cats (2.5"-3"), there were 3 yoyo loaches (4"-5"), 1 RTC (2.5-3.5"), 1 Datnoid (1.5") and a newly added Salvini (5"-5.5") all in a 42gal bowfront tank.

When I first released the Salvini into the tank, the Polleni was stalking him for a good bit. About 10-20 min later the Polleni started to chase him down and attempt to bite his side. I put in a bunch of holey rock to give the Salvini some shelter, but the Polleni would go in the caves and frighten the Salvini. Right now the Polleni is separated from the rest of the fish to hopefully get him used to the new fish (Read up that this helped some people, but then again it didn't help others). I am planning on getting a few Endli Bichirs and also a P. Bass or Dwarf Pike (The tetras and cories are going bye bye).

i think dat tank kinda small for all those fish its fit for only i salvini

Careful with the rtc. Faster growth rate and may eat the dat soon. Lets not flame the guy
