Any anti-sloshing ideas for transporting fish via car?

There is a welding kit pure oxygen canister at Home Depot but I think it’s too small... also do y’all think that my bacteria will survive the trip? I’m simply disconnecting the canister filter and leaving the media in there. It will be in a temp controlled car.

If you can put the bio rings part of it in with the fish. Will help to keep the water cleaner during the trip as well. Help to keep the bacteria alive as fish are always expelling ammonia.

I'm not a physicist, but I AM a Sailor. Think of a ships compass. All it's housed in is a liquid filled sphere suspended in another liquid filled sphere secured to the ship. If the inner sphere moves from horizontal, boy you'd better grab hold of something. How about floating the bag in a bucket of water? The car moves. The bucket moves with it and the inner bag stays fairly stable. You can't eliminate all motion. Just a thought. Incidentally, the liquid in a compass typically has alcohol so if you're ever shipwrecked bring mixers.

I’ve heard that as well! It does make sense because there is less horizontal distance for the water to gain momentum. If only they made 10gal buckets at Home Depot that were slightly larger ... there are trash cans however! Do you think a cylindrical trash can would work better than a rectangle tub or would it be top heavy and not stable in the car?
As far as top heavy, it would depend on area of the base vs. how high you filled it, I think-- the height of the center of gravity vs. mass. As far as better than a tub for sloshing, not certain how much the circular geometry inherently dampens sloshing vs. the simple dimensions of height vs. base area. I think it might, not certain to what degree. I do know that filled buckets, paint, for example, are tippy. Not a great idea to leave them loose to tip and roll around because on a tight enough curve they will. Half-filled bucket for fish are less so, but I still like to pack them in some how so they can't tip.

...I have done the float the bag in a cooler of water thing, come to think of it, and it does seem to work, plus you get some extra temperature insulation vs. the bag alone. Mostly for larger fish, though, I do tubs, buckets, or insulated coolers if one is handy.

Those are very interesting ideas! I bet you could get rich by inventing a gyroscopic fish transporting bucket! I’m going to Lowe’s/ Home Depot now to look for a more narrow/ cylindrical trash can or possibly a cooler to help with the sloshing.

And I think I will put the biological filter media in either the bucket with him or maybe a separate cooler... Would they be ok with regards to having enough “food” in only tank water for 7hrs?

Should be fine with dirty tank water.
You will lose some of the colony during the process so when you set it back up feed lightly for a week to give the BB time to reestablish itself. Any tank decor can be treated the same. Moved in tank water to keep its BB alive.

I just went to my local fish store / every home improvement store in my town and there are no bags that will work for the bag method! Looks like I’m going to have to do just a square cooler with ~ 10 gal of water and battery powered air stone. I’ll add lots of seachem prime to help with ammonia and pray that the sloshing doesn’t kill him! I’ll take the media in a separate cooler with tank water also!

Should I use tank water in the Fish cooler or treated tap water ... or a mix of both?

I would use treated tap water of similar water temperature. Don't overdose the Prime as it uses up O2. If you have room in your vehicle, you could always take a 5G bucket with tight fitting lid IF you wanted to do a water change mid travels.
