Selling eveything for cheap is a bad idea. A really bad idea.

You wont be able to cover your DOA losses.

He never said he would cover DOA losses. But if he can thats good stuff.

jeffers, Brad, I am located in Buffalo Grove. There will be a DOA guarantee. Marbles and Tigers should be 8-10".

You have anything negative to say, don't bother commenting. I am do going to do my best to offer the best product at the best prices I can.

Holy crap skeptics, hes getting you an AMAZING deal on some gorgeous rays and all you have to say is something negative? If i could house a Tiger pair i'd just on this faster than i can type it. So with that said, sbrodacz great job, i really appreciate people like you who take on a challenge like this and for furthering the hobby. GREAT JOB! :)

Thanks Mareshow. It's people like you who make me enjoy attempting to do this. Those who are interested, I will not sell a ray until he/she is eating and has been qt. I also have no problem sending a feeding of the ray eating.

The more that import, the cheaper the product. Which is good for ray keepers.
But just remember their are only so many people that are going to buy rays.
So what doesn't sell you get stuck with.

Very true. I don't plan on stocking many at a time. I will always have enough room for the rays that are not sold to live comfortably and not be overcrowded.

Tough love needed here imo

While your plan is generous I think it is a bit naive.
Well, having " been there and done that" and seen 100 other guys do the same thing I KNOW it is a lot naive.
If you do not allow (financially) for at least a 30%-50% mortality rate on rays coming in and again on rays going out you will probably go bankrupt on your first shipment, especially with Tigers and retics. Sometimes you will lose all of a given shipment!
Have you really factored in the costs of their food? meds? utilities costs to house them? new bags? heat packs? gas and mileage to the airport etc? time spent changing water and most especially of all the major stress (on YOU) ?
Even if you do manage to get a shipment 100% healthy in and then out again, the best you can hope for is to break even, crap on the market and piss off every other ray vendor by your undercutting the market, which is already tough.
Make sure to buy only from a reputable wholesaler, the only problem with that is that there is hardly such a thing as a reputable wholesaler. Absolutely do not send money out of the country ( or even state) in advance unless you have a good trust based relationship with the vendor.
People on forums talk a lot about buying or wanting this or that, but I can tell you from decades of experience , as will any other vendor on MFK or anywhere else, that most are just tire-kickers when it comes to actually putting their money where their mouth is.
unless you almost literally have money to give away I would seriously reconsider the plan, otherwise all that will happen is that you will lose a bunch of money and end up hating rays, all for what? selling a ray below market price to people who owe you nothing and to whom you owe nothing?
I don;t mean to be rude ( well maybe just a little) , just telling you like it is.
Do the math!!!
THIS IS A TERRIBLE BUSINESS PLAN YOU GOT!!!!!
