haha, a few? that's a pretty fair collection. But I'm beginning to realize there's a tendency to just keep pushing for more....kinda like keeping monster fish, I guess. Any chance you could post pics of some of their enclosures? I like to see how and what people keep their spiders in. I personally use those cups that betta fish come in and put a piece of filter sponge in the hole at the top so there is plenty of airflow and no chance of escape. I use this new stuff that caribsea makes, basically just finely ground coconut, for substrate and water bottle covers with filter floss in them for water dishes. Seems to work pretty well.

Yeah its an addiction:) I keep them in exo-terra faunariums as substrate i use peat mixed with reptibark or something similar. I dont use water dishes but i pour water in the substrate. I dont have an camera so i dont have any pics.

to lazy at the moment to remember the sientific names or the spelling for that matter, ill do that later when i g et some pics,i need to figure out how to post from my cell.pink toe,,,,,,,,,,,b smithi,,,,,,,,t.blondi,,,,,,,,,,some kind of aboreal sunburst baboon,,,,,,,,,,,king baboon....facts,they are adicting, you will enjoy them more in larger tanks but small enclosures are good for babys for climate control and feeding, one breeders book uses vermiculite on all his, this streesed my old ones out until some died, they hate it clinging to their feet, peat has fixed all for years.I use critter cages for some, long clear tupperware for other ground dweller and far the climbers,i use jugs that are kind of like the ones you buy beef sticks out of,i lay a branch diaganal and they do the rest,i know in nature some dont roam much but once you see them in the wild youll feel good given them some space as they get larger.i had a curly haird baby get out and was gone for 2 months, found him later behind bed twice as big, thought that was crazy.ill post pics soon.

ill handle anything with teeth before i handle a spider...they scare the sh*t out of me.
Nice though, like the pics, anything else is to close for comfort.

I have 1 Grammastola rosea
1 Nahndu chromatus
1 Avicularia versicolor
1 Brachypelma vagans
1 Lasiodora parahybana
1 Chromatapelma cyanopubescens
1 Acanthoscurria geniculata

I will try to get some pics of them. The great thing about spiders is that they are very low maintenance and you can have an impressive collection of them in a very small space.

Btw, that moth looks like the love child of a lemur, an owl and some alien lepidopterid.
