Any tips on maintenance with aggressive fish?

I had a huge Midas that used to bite the @#$%&* out of me, now my little 5" Kamfa is doing it too.....try grabbing them (gently) and they should piss off for a while, when they come back do it again. Siphon hose taller than the tank helps a lot too.....they DO draw blood and they DO have a very powerful bite @ 10"-14" mark....maybe sooner

I miss the days banging my funny-bone on the edge of the tank after trying to dodge a bite and reeling in pain while pointing and mumbling "Damn you, you little psychotic *&%^$$$#**&$##!!@&$$$***^###!!!!!!".

:D
Hahaha I did something similar the other day. He scared the hell out of me!

I usually use a net to push them away while siphoning, or alternatively put a divider in do half push the fish to the other side and do the other side.

I've been bitten by both my arowana and my old midas each of them drawing blood. The only way to keep my midas at bay was to use a tank divider and clean half the tank at a time. The only way to get my arowana to stop is by trying to reach for them. Then they get scared and stop.....I cannot imagine what I will need to do when my dovii gets huge.

A few hours after my arowana bit me

Depends on what kinda mood my flowerhorn is in. Sometimes I can stick both hands in and he won't do a damn thing other times he'll sabotage his filter or practically jump out to try and bite me. When he's in one of those moods I'll trap him in the corner with one of my bigger nets and try to do whatever I need one handed.
