Mike, from the same source that told me the leos and P14s from Frank were the same price.. here ill share..
"I know they cost a bit but they are very very good leos. They only have a few p14 available and a few pearls also. All fish are the same price 870 pounds if you bought 6 or more i can drop the price alittle but not much. Frank sells them at 1250 euro which at 1.41 works out at 886 pounds"

And to support Mikes claim that he has been offered large amounts and turned down, I have tried to buy pure blood Leopoldis, P14s and Pearls from every breeder I could possibly find across the world, to the point of bothering people literally (sorry!)..
Each time and with each breeder/distributor I have tried to purchase larger numbers such as 5 or 6 rays in an attempt to lower the price per ray. This has not been the case to say the least. These rays are in such demand that there is no need to sell them in bulk. Ive decided they are not getting much cheaper anytime soon, and I like that because I hope to one day be able to breed them myself. I would die if I spent 10k on black rays and they lifted the ban and all you guys posted $300 leos all over the boards..

I see your point Mike. All I know is the direct conversions on present day rates for the figures I was quoted. This in no way says how long the price has been 1250euro, just the current prices.
I, unfortunately, did not keep up with rays and prices before the prices rose to the height they are now. So I guess I cant say much about why the price has doubled over recent time.
From what I took out of Franks comment, he plans on keeping his price fixed in euros (possibly 1250) and when our dollar reaches closer to 1 to 1 ratio, our USD prices will be lower. Hmm.. May have confused myself..

right now Canadian money is worth more than ours.... at least it was a few days ago..... we are in a very crappy position with many variables against us......
