Anybody who worked/working at Petco would like to share experiences and job info?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Don’t work there but an experience I had once. I wanted a few assassin snails and the guy took literally 20 minutes to get them trying to fish them out. I watched him check them so figured all 5 were occupied and alive. I got home and 3 were literally empty. I was pissed and got my money back. Please don’t be that guy?

That sucks.
I bought 3 nassarius snails (actually Ceriths), and two were hermit crabs...
It is nice to have idiots sometimes though, as they may make a mistake that helps you. Of course they can just as quickly screw you over.
I haven’t worked there, but have dealt with many petco employees. All I can say is use your knowledge properly, don’t be an a hole like some are just because they “know more” (or at least think they do but are really stupid), give the right advice and remember that the customer either knows more than you or is just getting started.

To be fair, they were assassin snails. The poor guy was being extra cautious collecting them in case they tried to kill him, lol.
You can never be too careful around those little sneaky guys. You never know, one might touch you with its shell and frighten you a bit
