unfortunately i am a coin spender, i also spend notes too quite quickly and too easliy. LOL

same, mainly on beer, pickled eggs and animal food.

I inherited a bunch of coins, not exactly sure what though.

i think at had 1-2 left in collecting the 50 state coins, i have a really old collection of coins my grandmother gave me before she died, there's a good deal of money in that collection.

I collect Chinese Cash - old bronze coins that were used as common currency in geographical China for a few thousand years. It is quite inexpensive to start with, the coins are easily determined, and many of them are very, very old. On the downside - not too many collectors in North America.

If you want to collect coins as an investment, you are probably going to lose money. you can collect bullion (spelling) but when you do you had better buy a large quantity if you want to get it at "spot" price. I like to buy bullion coins. I have never bought precious metal coins at spot becasue I did not buy large enough quantities.
