what is wrong with your logic.

chlorine doesnt enter our blood stream from the digestive system!

chlorine does enter the fish's blood stream from its gills!

people that use dialysis machines, can not use chlorinated water in it because it enters their blood stream and makes them sick.

My fish are alive and healthy...........maybe there's no chlorine in Phoenix? Of course, that's it, I just got lucky, Phoenix water doesn't have chlorine. Maybe that explains all the dialysis patients too......

A 1 gallon jug costs me about $35, it lasts about 5 years.

If I use 1ml per 20 gallons as instructed: 1 Gallon contains 3785ml. So that treats 75,700 gallons of water. If I change 250 gallons a week I am good for 303 weeks which is 5.8 years.

1ml per 20G... Are you sure about that? Mine said 5ml per 20G on one API bottle and 10ml per 20G on another ....shrug

now he has revealed himself as nothing but a troll.

For all those who say they never use dechlor.... Are you using city water or does your house have a well?
If you have a well then you wouldn't need dechlor ever.

I always use declorinator.....but our water is very hard.....I have tried to not used it in the past with bad results....so i guess i have learned my lesson. Probably just depends on your location.

I'm sure it depends somewhat on location. It also depends largely on the quantity and frequency of the water change. "dilution is the solution"

I do 1 gallon per hour, 24/7, very low stress for my fish. I would say up to 10% weekly water changes are fine. If you start doing more you may want to treat the water and/or age it in a open bucket.

I'm just having a little fun with these guys, no hard feelings lol There's no better complement, really, than to have a guy call you names because of a disagreement of opinions. It's kind of like having an on line opponent in a war game say you only won because you cheated.

After reading some of these posts i have to agree not dechlorinating cant be good.

we don breath chlorine fish do.

i imagine that chlorinated water for a fish is like smoking.

doesnt show serious symptoms right away but long term could have serious effects like a decreased life span of an unknown amount.

not to mention alot of water has flouride in it...that **** isnt even good for us uit cant be good to filter through your Gills :/

i let my water sit over night sometimes from now on it will be a permanent ordeal...24 hours of wait time isnt a big deal if you plan ahead for a wc

just my .02
