Once my eheim 12/16 mm tubing comes in it will be running again.Tell me about itcoolermaster;3433817; said:the place you might have gotten the tap valves must have a bad batch of those tap valves. there will always be a lemon, but you getting two lemons?thats just bad luck man
One day I got a stable tank with all the fish I want in it then bam one tap valve breaks and suddenly I get a bio crash from removing the filter (And saving as much bio as possible) so now im doing water changes and my fish seem pissed about the ammonia and changes and the fact im not feeding until the ammo is under control. I started dosing with stability hopefully that will help"STABILITY" is a godsend Bro...It will do it's job to seed your filter from brand new so anything else you might have saved is a bonus...what are you running on the tank now till the hoses get there? And can't you just block up the cannister and use the current hoses till the new ones get there?tcarswell;3435886; said:Tell me about itOne day I got a stable tank with all the fish I want in it then bam one tap valve breaks and suddenly I get a bio crash from removing the filter (And saving as much bio as possible) so now im doing water changes and my fish seem pissed about the ammonia and changes and the fact im not feeding until the ammo is under control. FishNCash;3437669; said:Is your tank overstocked? If you have good flow from the powerheads in the tank the water should stabalize without ammonia spike considering you already reduced feeding. I went five days without a canister on a bare bottom tank and no trace of ammonia spike when I tested the water. All I had was a two powerheads running the tank and two chunks of driftwood. The driftwood must have sustain enough bio to prevent an ammonia spike.
Yes, it does sucks when $10 part break and your cannot run the filter without it. If I were you I would've gotten some hose at the LFS and run it without the connector as a temp solution. I always keep a HOB as a backup cuz I never know when I need it.
