If you get an Oscar from the wild it will probibly have the genetics to reach 14-18 inches...

If its truly F0 and not one that was released or the offspring of one released then I could see that being true. Although a healthy Oscar can reach within that range IF ITS BEING GIVEN THE PROPER CARE. I have seen in person one that was 16-17" and around 14 years old if I remember correctly.

I caught one when I was a kid at a lake here in Socal. Someones former pet no doubt. Great fight. Caught some small Dovii in Costa Rica a couple weeks ago. Also great fighters.

Good idea. Pull some more wildlife out of the water to sell! Brilliant. Apparently the last thread didn't garner enough attention, so here you go, here's some more.

Now hold up a minute,Oscars are invasives aren't they?...I seriously doubt he can rake in any substantial money for any that does catch,as stated earlier.

Notice I said people. Not me. Oscars are one of the most common aquarium fish in the industry and can rake in lots of cash. People could catch them and raise and sell the fry. I wasn't ever planning on doing this. I wouldn't be surprised if people are doing that now.

I would be surprised if people are doing that now with these mongrel oscars from Florida.
