well, the box better be better, it costs roughly twice as much.

and you can install kodi on the box the same way you do fire stick right?

thanks guys, good stuff to know. i'll have to check my local best buy
If youre just going for kodi (not sure what else the stick does) look up mxq pro on amazon. Its an android box with kodi and a bunch of other stuff already preloaded. Its around $40

You may have to order online and have it delivered. Most local stores have had it sold out. But can be delivered for free.

Yes kodi can be installed on the box or the stick.

I must be the lucky one. I've had Directv for almost 20 years and don't recall ever having an issue. As far as the customer service, never had to deal with it.
Good luck Sumo.

Maybe other providers do it too, idk, but what I hate about directv is, they charge you like 50 bucks for a tech to come out if you need service, or if you need a new dvr or remote, you pay for shipping the old part back.

But if you pay 12 bucks a month for their insurance, then the service call is free along with any shipping.

I've chosen not to buy their insurance and I've never needed a tech to come out. So all these years I would've gave away 12 bucks a month for nothing
