Anyone Off-Road?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah I have one of those K&N airfilters in mine for now. You do custom exhaust work? That is too sweet. See I've always wanted a split dual exhaust but they don't make them for my jeep, or so I've heard. But my wifes brother who's a mechanic told me they can custom make one.

Very nice! Someday I want to get a Rubicon and pimp it out off-road style. My wife has a nice 04 Liberty Renegade but I don't think she wants to bother doing anything to it. What kind of intake and exhaust to you have on your cherokee? I want to get a K&N intake soon and put a flowmaster on. The 4.0 L inline 6 was a great engine. That's what my 96 Grand had. My new one has a 318 c.i. V8.

Something else to think about...The rubicon is a great jeep, and very capable off road. I cant justify spending that much money on a wrangler. If you buy a regular wrangler and do the work yourself, you will be able to build a jeep that will walk all over a rubicon for the same price, maybe less!

yeah, cherokee's are tight behind the rear axle, especially the left side. It is a pain in the ***, but it can be done. You are right, all Iv'e seen for pre-bent stuff is 2.5 inch (single)cat-back systems. Duals are custom only.

I also have the ability of aquiring cheap, used Hummer H1's from and army base near me. My uncle works there and can get me a deal. I'm not a big GM fan but I always wanted an H1. The new H1's are so expensive it's not even funny. The army dosen't even pay half of the price of a civi model, and $20,000 of it is radio equipment.

lol, Yep. I'm gonna have to find out what they're going for now. The last time I asked him how much was a couple of years ago.

They are gas hogs.

I would have to go with the 6.6 L turbo diseael engine if I had one. Oh this is something (maybe in the distant future) that I would drive only:

A) Off Road

B) In a blizzard

C) When the Riders of the Apocalypse show up.
