Anyone on MFK Hunt?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Air Rifles IMO are so useless for hunting.
I'd LOVE to go hunting with this beast. How cool would it be pump a .50 Cal bullet into a 7ft Roo?

I love the Barrett, the secret to hunting with them is use steel cored slugs to limit expansion and fragmantation..., oh yeah, and getting the entire herd of elk to line up in a row.

Have never bothered to get my FID. Want to go hunting though. It sucks, mass dosnt have a rifle season... just muzzleloader, shotgun and archery. I want to go out during coyote season with the .308, aka 7.62x54r Russian mosin nagant. think of ak-47 with bigger exit wounds.

Except for the fact the Mosin is a bolt action carbine that holds five rounds and the AK-47 is a magazine fed, full automatic, gas powered assault rifle. The AK fires the 7.62x39mm round which is essentially the same caliber as the round the Mosin fires so the holes they make would be the same.

I was raised in the Northern part of lower Michigan deer hunting was a tradition.Except while most people head north to hunt we went south to the thumb area of Michigan where the deer were eating corn and were fat and happy. And yes I got my first buck when I was 12 years old-Anne

The $5.35 price tag each time you pull the trigger tends to slow the use down to a crawl...

I'm more of a fishing kinda guy myself, But I'd really love to go Duck hunting seems really fun, and I knoq quite alot of people that do go duck hunting so I could possibly tag along with them. My uncle is in Michigan right now hunting all sorts of things, Mostly antelope, a few huge white tails, I think he also got a black bear. I gotta say, Antelope sausage is very tastey, alot better then pepperoni. It almost has a turtkey sausage type texture too it, has a mild taste but I really like it. I also get TONS of it as my uncle has about 3 freezers full of variouse animal meat. Haha! Deer, elk, bear, antelope, duck, quail, turkey, just about everything you can hunt! But you guys gotta try antelope sausage, its great. I'm not a big fan of bear meat, too stringy for me. Love Elk steak though, if I could I'd eat it all the time, so much better then beef steak from the supermarket, so much leaner and better taste.

Also, I see a little talk about ther Mossin Nagant, are they a pretty reliable gun? I've been thinking about picking up one from the local Big Five, they go on sale every two months for really, really cheap and it seems like a fun rifle for just target practice ot taking to the range, or shooting with buddies and whatnot. Know were I could find an in-depth review in the weapon?

I better stop typing now, or my fingers will fall of!

Deer hunting opened today. I have gone deer hunting just once, found it quite boring. Duck hunting is where its at, yet I haven't gone in years.

I wanna go sooooo bad. If I didnt have school I could be in Montana with my uncle hunting (I ment to say Montana in my other post, but wrote Michigan for some reason) all sorts of stuff. I gossa get mah edjamakation fers do, huntin com sekod to dat.

I'm goint to ask him when he gets back from Montana if He'd like to go Duck hunting though, when I was 6 he asked me to go Deer hunting and my mom flipped out, LOL.

I would go hunting with my Dad, but he lives in Cali, and he really only uses his guns just for target practice and to blow some steam and whatnot. More of a hobby shooter, although he has gone varmint hunting a few times. His friend has a HUGE .50 cal Handgun, things a beast! My uncle who also lives in Cali has two Full Auto AK47's he got before the full auto ban went into effect there. I dont think he shoots them though, more of a display weapon I guess, Or he gets to shoot enough being a police officer and all.
