My wife's into the 50shades series... You're making me worried about what I don't know about these books???!

For me, I usually read a lot of factual accounts: lately Middle East/Afghan history or expedition stories. I just finished Annapurna this weekend, the first-hand account of the first successful attempt to climb a mountain over 8000m, an amazing feat and still considered the most dangerous mountain...

I'm not a fan of make believe and since I needed socks I checked out this book while i was on amazon and it sounded like a Nat geo show in book form so I ordered it.

I used to read a lot of Stephen King back when I read books a lot. Nothing tops the Dark Tower and Cell.

I love the dark towers series as well as most of Kings books like Insomnia, Salems lot, Rose Madder, Cujo, The Eye of the Dragon & the Tommyknockers. Great books.

I read a lot.. When I'm really into reading I can easily go through a few books a week. Some of my favorite arthurs are Jane Lindskold, Laura Hamilton, Lara Adrian, Kelley Armstrong, Dean Koontz, Robert Ludlum, P.C Cast, John Grisham etc..

There's a really good dragon series called Dragonriders of Pern. Its a very interesting and detailed series.

Anne Mccaffrey rocks!! Pern novels are awesome!

I ahve a question for you, kissofcrimson, you said Laura Hamilton. Did you mean Laurell K Hamilton? If so, I've read some of her Anita Blake novels and those are a good read as well.

i like most science fiction and i enjoy a good war novel.

Read the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. First one's "His Majesty's Dragon." Best of both worlds: A (mostly) historically accurate recounting of the Napoleonic wars with the addition of dragons!

Lemme know what you think. It reminded me a lot of Shackleton's expedition to the South Pole... harrowing!

does anyone know of a good detective series like the 'harry bosch' novels by connelly or' prey' novels by sanford?
