Anyone take offense with Black Op Ads?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i like that ad, but it should have been gear'd more towards the people that would actually play it...at least one of the people should have been that "obnoxious gamer" that always screams over the mic.

thanks for posting the commercial chris. i thought it was a good commercial cuz it had a good mix bag of potential gamers. anyone from a butcher to kobe bryant.

never once did i think about real crime and a blind 14 year old

I wasnt bothered by any glorification of guns and violence but I thought they're campaign in general was pretty offensive. Showing regular people playing at war and saying "theres a soldier in all of us" is pretty lame but to launch the ad the week of Veterans Day is just stupid and I think insensitive.

this is the second thread today that makes no sense at all to me.

everytime a game comes out with a M or 18+ rating everyone gets all pissy and stuff saying it'll warp kids minds. ITS RATED FOR A REASON, don't buy it for your kid if you dont want him playing it.

completely agree.
i errr havnt even seen the commercial for it, but its just the same old stuff.
music/games etc dont ruin the kids of today, what we have made the world does. parents and schools are to easy. even prison is easy.

im sorry but what the hell r kids doing with guns anyway? over here they r kinda non existant.
our game stores and video stores ID people before letting them buy rated stuff.
parents if u buy it for ur kids then its ur responsibility to teach them its a game and its wrong in real life. u wana do that? join the forces.

my friends husband is in the army and he is always on xbox/ps3 playing the war/fighting games.
his son watches, and lets face it they r pretty graphic considering. his son has just turned 5, and the other day threatened to shoot my child in the head.
needless to say after a few words with both parents the xbox AND ps3 have gone to new homes.
we need to be responsible parents too and keep our children naive to things, let them b children.

kids r virtually untouchable nowadays, they kill someone, im sorry they knew wha they were doing, bloody well send them down for life. not wipe the slate clean when their 18.

gggggggrrrrr rant over.

I mentioned this commercial a few weeks ago in the Walking Dead thread.I thought that it was hot and was'nt offended at all at the cartoon violence that was shown.

i suppose they should've waited til a month after the game came out? i get what you're saying but i'm sure it had more to do with the release date of their product then a u.s. holiday.

Chloe, Chris embedded the commercial so you can see it.

oh yea lol. im just bitter because thats y jay didnt come stay with me for the wknd...i got blown out for a game :(

dont find it offensive but er maybe not show it before the watershed???
but agree with thalan, bit insensitive.
and still dont think it would inspire kids to kill.
