Anyone take offense with Black Op Ads?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I saw the commercial several times while I was watching the game. I thought commercial was dumb since it showed nothing from the actual game. I didn't find it offensive though. People will always find something to complain about and be offended by.

I personally didn't like the commercial. It didn't offend me, but I could see where it offended others. At least there were no dead bodies.
Nope,no casualties. The shooters didn't even appear to be focusing on specific targets...I for one had no idea what the commercial was shilling for untill it was mentioned at the end... and someone mentioned the name or word that was written on Kobe's weapon, what was that all about?

I'm not offended by the commercial at all, but I can see how some people could be. Still though we can't censor everything that offends someone.

I didn't notice it, but the name written on Kobe's gun, mamba, is his nickname "The Black Mamba".

Oh,I see.I'm not a big Kobe fan but I recall a boxer from a few years ago using that name....Roger Mayweather if I'm not mistaken.

Really dog fighting, gangs, crack and zero parental supervision and he's all up in arms about a video game? The areas he's talking about have high welfare rates so mom is not working 50 hrs, or any for that matter.

regular every day joes like you and i
You mean reservists? Like the men and women getting killed everyday.

I can't imagine this would be offensive to most veterans. Almost every vet I know was waiting with baited breath for this one.

Seeing as what the guns were, the writing on the guns like noob tube, the timing of the ad, ect. I would think most would know it was for COD.

The setting and the use of guns does not promote urban violence no more then a hunting show on TV promotes kids in the country to run around with a shotgun picking kids off.

I also disagree about it being in sensitive. Saying there is a soldier in all of us can be taken numerous ways. 1. we can all be gamers no matter what we do which was the message they were trying to convey.
2. If you wanted you could think that we could all be soldiers in real life. That's true. There is a soldier in all of us if we had chosen to heed the call. We dont breed those in the military. They are your neighbors and such.

Thank you, you get the point. i don't think most people would know it's COD though unless they know what COD is in the first place. Everything else though, you're on point

I only wanted Kobe to get shot in the face, that would have been my only suggestion.
