Im missing something. What did the teacher actually do wrong ?

left her phone un-attended.

thats to say she left inappropriate pics where a student could access them.

I do have issues with her 3 minute thing, I have worked in a school, several of them. my wife is a TA and has been for 9 years, same school, there is no i walked out for 3 minutes to monitor the hall way.

thats a good 10 to 15 minute thing, BTDT. not that makes a dif, just saying the news report of 3 min is not right.

again what dif that make with the masses. I understand your statement, your dead son change your mind, but it aint changing your neighbors mind.

I see your point and when i think about it, i agree.

Wether i agree with someones opinion or not i hpoe no one ever has to physically witness 9/11 again. It definitely changes your perception.

I mostly blame her. Who in their right mind is going to take nude pictures of themselves and take it to a school?...regardless of the phone belonging to her, It's almost the same as having a hard copy picture and sticking it in your book hoping nobody sees it.

Who is she going to sue? I'm sure the school has a policy against porn being brought into the school. If anything the school should sue her.

Well, the person who appreciate his/her body would do that, and sticking a nude picture in a book is not "hoping," but expecting nobody sees it. That's called privacy. Same as when you put, on your clothes, you didn't hope, but you expect that nobody would see your "private" part(s)

She can sue whoever she and her lawyer sees fit but at the very least that little brat who stole her phone should be brought up on theft charges.
I think firing the teacher is a bit harsh, but she obviously cannot remain at that school so a transfer should have been in order.
