It took me a few attempts with both before I mastered it, lol. Believe it or not, the first couple of attempts at mango I didn't even know that the seed is within the husky casing!! I just planted the casing, and obviously failed, lol. When I did some research, which I should have done from the very start, I realised you have to open the casing up to get the actual seed, be careful doing this as not to damage the seed. Then it became quite easy, just follow the online tutorials. You might get a couple of "duds" but eventually you'll get one to sprout. DON'T put them on a sun facing window sill. The bright sun killed one of my earlier attempts. The one you see below is probably my 4th attempt, but as you can see it's doing ok, quite slow growing too.How did you get the mangos to sprout! I’ve tried a few times and haven’t sprouted one yet.
I’ve given up on avocado
The avocado, as with the mango, involved a lot of trial and error. As with the mango there are also some good you tube tutorials to point you in the right direction. When I just planted mine in soil they kept failing, not one germinated. The trick, I found, was not to plant them at all! Get a damp paper towel, wrap the seed in it, and put the whole thing in a sealed clear plastic bag, and put it somewhere warm. I put mine on top of my fish tank. Just keep checking, and checking, and checking (it took mine about a month). Eventually the seed begins to split and you will see the little root and shoot tips developing. That's when I planted mine in soil, but still keep it somewhere warm. As I said, it took a while, maybe 3 or 4 seeds before I had success.
Don't give up, keep at it, lol.
Below top, mango.
Below bottom, avocado.
Dragonfruit is definitely on my "to do" list after seeing yours, lol.
