I just searched up, isn’t the rhizome the root of the plant? Why shouldn’t it be buried? Sorry I’m new to plants I’m still unsure of the parts of the plant.

It’s not quite root. The rhizome is the thick stem that both the roots and leaves grow from. If it’s buried it won’t be able to get the nutrients it needs and the plant will start to rot.

OH it’s probably the reason why al my other plants died ?

Okay, I’ll try to get anubias and Java fern for my tank.
What are these types of small plants? I love the look of them between the rocks, and it seems anubias and Java fern are quite big.

I think that moneywort but I’m not sure. I’m probably wrong.
Some Anubias stays small, like nana barteri.
I just wedge my Anubias and ferns between rocks and let them grab on, seems to do the trick.

Common names for plants (and fish) can vary quite a bit from place to place.
Here's what I know as money wort/pennywort (genus Hydrcotyl)

and as stated, there are many kinds of Anubias

some grow quite large and flower above the water line

Java fern can also get large, the clump above was about the size of a soccer ball (futbal, in the parlance of our time)

I have added in a few plants, will take pic tmrw after water clears. Any type of small pleco sutiable for the tank which has a nice design? Thanks!

Bn pleco is the usual go to. Great algae eater and very small.

Try some simple java fern tied to the wood in a few places. Also, in a low tech set up I have had great success with rotala rotundifolia, as well as medium species of valisneria. Just make sure that you are adding root tabs for the root feeding plants every month or so and you should be ok.
