:iagree: For all I know from his post, it could be a 6-8" arapaima, since he's going to keep it with 6-8" bichir, so I don't see why he can't do it. Who knows whether he has a pond or a river in his backyard waiting for the beast to grow out... How nice to see hobbyist's input on the matter! :grinno:

but... if he knows enough about pima that he thinks he can keep one, he should know that a 75 aint gonna hold one for long.

But that wasn't his question, was it? Who knows whatever his plan will be? Upgrade to bigger tank, pond, river, hot pot?

You guys are not being fair to the OP. Before you jump to conclusions and start harassing the OP, please make assessments on what must be done and ask questions regarding his plans.

The funny thing here is people who call others trolls may be trolls themselves for outright disrespecting someone who has not responded in defense. Don't be too quick to judge anyone.

Ok, so im curious,if it was say 6 to 8 inches then how long would it be ok in a 75g before he does have to upgrade?

steve

I'd look for a much bigger tank to even start growing it up in. If you're keeping it long term, you don't want any form of stunting during it's younger stages in life.
