Man they'd sell like sliced bread and milk before a blizzard.

god please let this get me kicked off this ****y ass stupid site. your all a bunch of dumb ass ****ing ignerent **** heads that dont know ****ing **** about the hobby and do nothing but pick on people with questions. you all need to ****ing grow up. **** you all.

Wow that escalated quickly. As said before we on this site who have been here a few years have dealt with alot of people over the years who come on with plans like this that aren't realistic or are just troll posts. The problem with the dwarf idea Is it will take longer than your lifetime to selective breed to that size if at all.

+1, pimas get huge! over 8ft. Selectively breeding -let alone just breeding them will be very difficult and costly.Building a half million gallon pond to breed huge fish that are seldomly bred and probably never been selectively bred would cost millions of dollars. If you can put in the time and money I think it will be great but if you want to breed fish that can be realisticly selectively bred you should breed flowerhorns.

Ok I want to try to decipher this (finals just ended so a little celebration was in order ;) ). This is a wonderful site with very knowledgeable people. I would not say we all are a bunch of ignorant* "crap" heads. There are people on this site that could, through debate, be proven to be some of the best in their respective fields.

Yes there was some "picking" on but you are one of hundreds that come on here and say ridiculous things like this. Most of the people replying to this were supportive and wanted to hear what you had to say. You went a little overboard.

If your honest, come back on when you get your pond going and make us all eat our words.

Hope all goes well.

Hey man, you took that too far you got to realize that we deal with alot of little trolls, im pretty sure this website has some the smartest people in the hobby, and defiantly smart enough to know that it would be EXTREMELY hard or maybe impossible to selectively breed a two foot pima, also with your plan on breeding pima do are you gonna also set up a facility to care for the young? you have to see all the things that go into a massive project your dreaming about, also if you do become successful not many people have a taste for pima in the U.S, i understand there over fished in Brazil and stuff so you could do something for you local area but internationally not so much. And no ones really responding to your questions cause there pretty broad, if you have a specific question ask and we will try to help.

I went to Amazon last year in Colombia and had arapaima, I don't like fish but it tasted very good not a "fishy" taste. Also got some huge scales from the kitchen for a souvenir !
