Prices are on the high side at angelsUSA for my taste.
Yea, I do think they are a bit high. I don't think there are any other sites that offer tank raised and conditioned altum angels... although I am probably wrong I can't find any others.
But, as long as they are really good, I will pay quality money for a quality fish.

10 are wild Orinoco and 3 are wild pterophyllum santa isabel.
What is the difference in appearance between the Orinoco and the Santa Isabel? Are they just collected at different sites or is there any difference in physical appearance? The Wet Spot has the Santa Isabel for sell right now--- am considering getting some from them.

Pterophyllum santa isabel are sometimes referred to as Peruvian altums they look different than true altums. The silver one is the pterophyllum santa isabel.

Im glad you told me then, I want true Altums! I would have been so upset if i
I paid what I was going to pay at Wetspot ( thinking they were true Altums), if they were not.
It is so confusing! Look at how they are differentiated on Wetspot's availability list:

Assorted Small Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare Small TR $3.00
Assorted Large Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare Large TR $20.00
Assorted Medium Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare Medium TR $10.00
Black Lace Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare Small TR $7.00
Philippine Blue Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare Small TR $8.00
Platinum Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare Small TR $5.00
Santa Isabela Angelfish Pterophyllum cf. altum "Santa Isabela" Brazil Md/Lg. WILD $70.00 11 ONLY
WILD Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare "Peru" Small WILD $10.00
WILD Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare "Peru" Medium WILD $13.00
WILD Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare "Peru" lg/Xlg. WILD $25.00
WILD Angelfish Pterophyllum scalare "Spotted" "Peru" Xlg. WILD $30.00

Doesnt the $70.00 ones appear to be true Altums??

Well Brazilian is another term for an Altum but not true Altum I believe. If their not Orinoco river or Atabapo River I wouldn't get them unless you can see pics of them.

I would not order Altums from any company that doesn't offer FED-Ex overnight delivery by 10:30 am as well. After a couple bad experiences getting late deliveries of dead fish from UPS, I dont order from any vendor that doesn't provide FED-Ex as a shipping option.
Angelfish USA only deals with the postal service--- no thank you. Not on sensitive fish like this.

I dont have enough experience with them to know what Im seeing is a true Altum or not. Im bummed. Im not going to be able to find a supplier :(
