Are Pleco Realy useful ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I guess I'm one of the rare ones. I have had my pleco in my 220 for almost 2 years and he is only about 5" long. He just will not grow and that's fine with me. He keeps all my logs clean and glass.

Before I put him in there I had fuzzy stuff all over my logs. Now they are nicely polished pieces of wood....But a small pleco has small waste...

My bristlenose is less than three inches long and still covered the bottom of my ten gal in poop within like 4 hours at the most.

I feel ya on that one. I have a leopard that never stops sucking on something and I see streams of his crap floating around once a week when I clean!!

Yeah. It's kinda gross really. I have one that will find the real long strands of poop and slowly slurp it up like spaghetti.
