There were points when I could get $35 Zebra Pleco's, $150 Leo's, $40 Blue Eyes, $50 NGT, $5 Indos, $50 gulpers, etc. ALl have skyrocketed at different points..
Supply and demand...Opportunities come and go, 'fad fish' come and go, but if the buyer is willing to pay the asking price whats the problem? BD for 10k? Plat Mundi for 20k+ Who cares, to each his own.

Hence screwing the market over. For there own gain.

That will not get the chance. What does the prices of fish in the EARLY 90's have to do with today? You think you'll ever see Blue Eye Pleco for $40? I just payed $1400.00. It would have been nice to see the people having all the problem's, Be able to purchase a nice/rare fish at a price hoped for. Just because you or I have them money to pay (MARKET VALUE) Does not mean everybody can. I will be shocked if they can sell them in the US for 250 plus.. I have my six coming, But i think ALOT of people will miss out.. I was hoping they would come in at 50-75 buck's.. The only hope of selling alot of them at these prices, Is maybe a vendor or something like that buy's a shat load of them. jmo
Also your Black Diamond and Plat Mundi prices are WAY off. Atleast form the sellers i know of.
Well said as far as the fish's well being goes.DB junkie;3313693; said:I'd LOVE to know exactly how many of the hundreds imported last summer are still alive today...... Same thing will happen again. People don't understand the size requirement and buy them despite being able to house them as adults, then they die, are sold to improper homes (and die) or die in shipping....
