Armatus everywhere!

Ok I 'm lost what was rich accused of?

I have no idea why he is even upset in this conversation at this point. I have not read anything that someone has said about the $50 armatus that I would consider bad.

Hell compared to the rip offs going on lately his buisness on this site should sky rocket.

Unless he is upset cause he is somehow involved in this new wave of armatus. And I did think he was but he answered that question and said he was not involved. End of that.

So rich lay it out for me, why are you upset if you have nothing to do with the new wave of armatus in which this threads disscusion is based upon?

I don't see a reason for you to be mad at anyone in THIS thread from what i am reading. If i was going to be mad I would aim it at the people that are trying to rip off the community with these new armatus. After all there the ones putting the bad taste in everyones mouth twards the venders.

And if it means i can't get a fish without supporting GREED and RIP OFFS and SCAMS then I guess i will start collecting rocks.

Oh and after doing all your detective work trying to find some type of weapon to use against me (:screwy:) did you learn how to properly compile a classifieds thread?
 
I read some of this Thread and its almost funny...

It reminds me of having a conversation with people and you hear them complain about how their are under paid...Didnt they accept the job in the first place? If you like it and it fits you, do it. if you dont, just move on and find what fits you... same for fish... If it fits you or your pocket, do it if not just admire everyone elses... its a hobby.

This is not aimed at anyone specific but read some post and they add up to the same thing.

Most of the people cant even house an Armatus for life (including myself... 4 NOW:naughty:)... so why make a big deal about a fish u want to buy at a steal deal then turn around and sell it for big bucks when the your in the opposite position... i can speak on that cause I buy fish (expensive and cheap) and I ALWAYS SELL IT FOR UNDER THE PRICE... including my Armatus that was 50bux at one point:D... I miss him too:cry:

Check out Cichlidstation.com for the gold scombs and the sickle band I've seen in one of my books.
 
it the sickle a bry con with clear fins, and a sort of black mark that fills downwards towards bottom of tail? have seen these for sale, if so they dont get as big as the red tail ones.

only found these "yellow" scombs in the barracuda section. in HK these are referred to as "yellow fin exploding teeth" if this is the fish in question, i think the gold is in reference to the fins?

Yes to both and it is interesting that there is another scomb variant/strain.I wonder if they live any longer in captivity than the other type.
 
the yellow fin is the same as the scomb we all know. it's just what they call it. Im guessing it's all the same.

have 2 books, just checked and in one it says the (B. melanoplerus) gets to 60cm photo of juvi fish and has black spot behind the gill, silver skin and the other book has a (B.melanopterus) at 25cm, no spot but skin like dorados with mult. lateral lines. both have the upturned sickle in the tail (i said downwards above, error).
