Armatus ID? Still Black (Hydrolycus wallacei)

This is pretty neat.It reminds me of DB junkie and the rare characin he had a few years ago.If I remember correctly it came in as an armatus but clearly was not.

This was G's second attempt to bring in Armatus. The fish was a Cynopotomus sp. Still regret selling those things. I bought them after being at shark aquarium for well over a year, may have even been 2. Hard to believe nobody bought them.

Yep,I remember the story and I actually saw them there back when I was after an armatus.Looking back I wish I had gotten one and I can't believe you got rid of them.

Might be the best i can find right now. This is when I started to notice the difference between the two and not just that the armatus was growing faster.
 
That photo does not show the tail very well but it does show a very dark caudal peduncle compared to the typical intense red of the peduncle on the armatus.
