my juruense,my johanna, and my koi.Okay thanks for the tips.

I will keep an eye on them but I am not overly worried, they have never eaten a fish in their life and will not be able to fit the aros in their mouth for much longer.I have had some very small koi in this tank that I was growing out for my pond.I removed all but one (the one still in there) but they were in there for almost a month.

I can only say never eat a fish before doesnt mean they wont. And keeping an eye on them is not enough, knowing the threat is best remove them as early as possible rather than just wait and see. By the time the worst have happened, it's all too late. Just sharing my exprience with you.

i must say aro com is a bit stressful their have been a few times i have just thought i dont need this

they seam to beat up on one aro if you remove that aro they will just start on another

i found it diffrent with the lights when the lights were on they used to push one aro to the ground if he moved from that spot it would be war with every other aro chasing it

when i just had a blue light on they would all shoal around not paying any attention to each other

very good point T1,

when i had my aro com i also notice the same thing, and what i did was i got two tubes of blue neon tubes from car neons and wired it up on top of the tank and they are on for 24hr a day. for a good 3-4 months the arowana lived perfectly together. but then they started to pick on each other again.

at the end i started using very bright red lights. and that also worked for a while but it wasnt long live. only a month or so.

so i find the blue light is very good at calming the aros, i only switch them on and stay on when the arowana needs a break. think of it as time out.

lmao, the juruense and johanna yes. but the koi no lol.

your koi wont attack the silvers lol :D

Koi will just swallow whole if they fit the mouth. I have seen enough disaster here to say all these.:D

I am surprised nobody mentioned floating plants and lots of them.I also used a blue light at night and had a 365 gallon tank to do this with.

oh i also used a mirror back ground which seemed to confuse them.

he's gonna need a very big piece of irror if he's going to put one behind his tank:D

Okay I removed the juruense and the johanna to my pond until the aros are bigger.

I added some plants at the top,but they are the plastic ones and arent meant to be floating, so don't look great.Should I just toss all my plastic plants in there and let em float along the top?

Let them float around and observe their behaviour in there. They wont show much until they settle down in there for today is just their first day.

Just pay more attention to those which recieve more aggression for silver at this size are very fragile and may die from injuries.
