How long can my 10" Silver go without eating. I am battling flukes in the tank right now and today is day 2 with him showing no interest in food. I took a few Hikari sticks and soaked them in garlic....could care less. I have come so far with batteling this parasite...I would hate to loose the Aro to starvation.
Any ideas on how to get him to eat and how long he can go without eating.
Generally I feed him the Food Sticks,Massivore pellets, Frozen Blood Worms, FD Krill,Spectrum Pellets, shrimp pellets.

I had 1 of my Aro's go 2 weeks without eating, then he stated eating again with no problems.

Mine has not eaten in 6 weeks... don't worry about him... let me worry about mine...

If he's just recently recovered from a parasite.. it means his appetite is still adjusting...
But since your using garlic guard.. or garlic juice.. thats good...

I would start by feeding your arowana crickets and maybe market shrimp.. then try pellets...
I've also tried meat with my arowana.. like raw meat strips.

good luck!

He ate 1 hakari food stick:headbang2

Guess it is a start. It had no garlic on it tho.....why do they like the garlic anyhow. I put 5 or so sticks in the tank that had garlic on them and even the Bala sharks didn't touch them.

That is awful! The best of luck to your guy. I hope things start looking up for him.
