i have tried everything.. he swims and acts normal.. but refuses.. i even have gold fish in the tank.. something i would never do ..but out of desperation.. but he could care less, tried crickets..meal worms.. shrimp thanks..

Good luck on the aro, hope he starts eating again. Whenever my fish stop eating, I just figure hell eat eventually, I would think it would be instincts to eat before it starves to death.

How long can my 10" Silver go without eating. I am battling flukes in the tank right now and today is day 2 with him showing no interest in food. I took a few Hikari sticks and soaked them in garlic....could care less. I have come so far with batteling this parasite...I would hate to loose the Aro to starvation.
Any ideas on how to get him to eat and how long he can go without eating.
Generally I feed him the Food Sticks,Massivore pellets, Frozen Blood Worms, FD Krill,Spectrum Pellets,shrimp pellets.

can anyone tell me about the whole garlic thing I`ve never heard of this?

To the OP and to Liz: try a clean source of night crawlers cut into pieces for the small fellow and full size for the adult.

still not eating... i think... i have had all the water tests done professionally.. added live gold fish {which i would never do unless as desparate as i am} crickets.. garlic oil, shrimp cooked and raw.. arowana pellets..meal worms, algae wafers, massivore pellets... he just won't eat.. he is acting 'normal.. doesn't look much thinner.. i just hope he is eating a few floating pellets i leave there..The gold fish love them and they are growing .. nothing left to do.. also massive water changes..
