thanks... i will try them.. they are like earth worms.. ??not meal worms...i tried giant meal worms

Earth worms and night crawlers are the same thing. Think fishing bait...haha. You just need to get a clean source for them, they eat dirt, or keep some yourself for a couple days. I forget what people feed them to clean the dirt out. If you cut them up you can just clean them out yourself.

Fun fact: did you know if you cut an earth worm in half it'll grow into two worms? Saw that on the Science Channel the other day, crazy stuff.

I'm not sure, I haven't messed with worms for my tanks at all. Hopefully someone with experience will come by and help you out. This is the arowana you've had a long time, eh? Maybe he's eating water! Haha, jk.

I hope everything works out for you ma'am!

Edit:
This could be a totally dumb idea, but do you have anything else that's close to his size in your other tanks? Or do you just have him and your Africans right now? If you had another fish that you could put in with him, maybe the competition instinct will kick in when the newly added fish eats? I know I had a problem with some of my fish not eating when I first got them. After I added more fish to the tank, they started competing for food as soon as I threw it in. Kinda like "monkey see monkey do" but more like "monkey see monkey wants what you got".

Just a thought.

Well than I REALLY hope everything works out in your favor! He's a good lookin' fish.
thank you very much... my hubby and i were just talking about him...again.. we said he has to be eating the couple of pellets i leave in there.. theres no way after 6 weeks he could still be acting normal.. i am just baffled..:(

larger fish , such as arowana, oscars and gar are resilient. if he gets over the illness, he will start eating and they can go for awhile without a meal. i just got a young , 7 -inch gar that would not eat for about 2 weeks. he finally started taking silver sides and is doing OK.
