sorry to hear this story , feel for you big time, i have a aro and glass lids and am thinking of lining the inside of the lids with clear bubble wrap to cushion any event like this , or maybe changing for a net , your story is a sad one ,but it may help to save another aro in the future,
Sorry for your loss, i am glad you did it the humane way and put him at peace. I know it's hard but you did the right thing. And yes this is a lesson to be learned for all of us. I have a skittish black aro, she's only 9 inches, and around me she is fine, but when guests are over she freaks out, so I'm gonna make it a priority to soften the lidded area of my tank tp prevent any serious injury she might incur, thank you for sharing this story with us and making us better arowana keepers!
