that's why i have heavy duty net as a cover on my aro tank rather than a solid one. at least in bends in case my aro jumps

Sorry to hear about your Aro, just one of those freak things I guess. RIP if you decide to euthanize
Maybe you could rig some sort of "harness" to keep him horizontal .... I saw someone do it for a gold fish before, so just a thought. I just lost my aro a couple months ago. He too, jumped but he dried to the floor during a storm at night.

Good luck with whatever decision you make.REALLY sorry to hear about your aro. My heart goes out to your situation, my silver jumped out of the tank a couple of weeks ago. Very heart broken.
An a similar note, what is the best way to cover the tank while avoiding this situation? I think there is a lesson to be learned here. I for one do not wish for this to be repeated to anyone for that matter.

Hi Guys,
I put him down... I put him in a cooler with Tranquil that made him go to sleep in like 10-15 seconds then I threw him in the freezer. When I got home he was still floating and his jaw was starting to get raw. I felt bad for him and didn't see any chance of him being able to recover. Thanks for all the nice comments !!!!
