Arowana hit the lid

I'm not an expert by any means but have you tried holding it with its face towards a powerhead to increase flow over it's gills? it might help, it looks bad.
 
:cry:mine did that last week he was 22.5 inches and was trying to get away from my pacu he didnt make it sorry to here what happened mine looked liked he broke his jaw though it was a little crooked.
 
woke up and checked on him and he is breathing and looking around ... I was shocked to find him still alive. It's like he is paralized
 
It's been 24 hrs with no change... I don't know if I should put him out of his misery or just continue to let him float around the tank. Any suggestions? It doesn't look like he is going to recover.

if you were to euthanize, how would you go about it? what's the most effective way to euthanize a fish?
