try it out with some silvers first? i personally wouldn't risk it. i find that fish in ponds are a nice touch but you can't really enjoy them as much as having them in a tank. in a tank you can see all the colours where as in a pond you'd only see the top. unless you have a very nice aro you would only see black on top too. plus ponds are more prone to theft. i'm sure its happened before.
