From my experience, well fed African Aro don't bother their tankmates. The ones that start fights are usually the hungry ones.

I feed him 3 times a day, mainly pallets, FBW and prawns

I think the difference in size is one reason...and may consider adding another xb

Also maybe you can consider adding other fishes like silver dollars to distract the African aro ...

A wavemaker may also help

But again nothing is guaranteed

I had introduced 2 small kois in prior as a trial and he didn’t seem to bother them at all, have about 8 polys and 2 spiny eels in there too, all went along well till the arowana came. He went striaght for he XB very aggressively
