Al do you have any threads of yours that document your ray adventures you can point me to?

I want a breeding pair someday and I'm about to start my research into what kind I want.
 
Chicxulub I second the flatfish. Hard to beat rays and characins together.
 
Figured I'd post about my latest bone head maneuver ... did a water change on Sunday, and noticed for the next couple days my fish had virtually no apetite, except for the rays, they continued to act normal ... Then I notice 2 of my goliaths have a slight cloudiness to their eyes, and I thought it strange especially since 1 of them had it on both eyes ... this fact removed the possibility of them bumbing into something, since it was too much of a coincidense that 2 would have it, so I got nervous ... water params were normal, and today I did the 2nd of my bi weekly water changes ... I get my measuring cup that I use for my tap water conditioner and realize its already full ... then i realize why my fish are acting weird, I forgot to add the tap water conditioner on Sunday when I did my water change, and this was the result ... luckily my biological filter doesnt seem affected, but non the less my fish were ... was quite an eye opener considering I remember people saying that they dont use it, which to me is craziness! I have well water and would assume its less treated by chemicals than city water, and still it had drastic impacts on my fish .... Anyway hopefully theres no lasting effects on my boys and they get back to normal today

Sucks, hope for you that they get fully fit again.

I don't use water conditioner, we don't have additives in our water and IMO if you don't need to use chemicals you should not.
