I hope its this week! Thanks for the kind words ... Atlantic Tarpon actually get huge, and mine is still just a baby ... ones living in fresh water dont generally grow as large as those living in the ocean but they have been known to get over 8 ft!! But I expect 3-4 ft in a 1000+ gallon aquarium ... thinking I havent fed my fish silversides in a while, thats always an exciting show, so maybe in a few days I'll get another video up

Awesome cant wait to see the vid, my bad i thought it was the indo pacific tarpon which if I understood get half as big, but still way to large for my eventual 180. Pretty incredible fish.
 
OK, last vid till the pups are born ... been about 2 months since i've fed anything but pellets to the tank, so i felt a little silverside treat (after giving them some pellets) was in order

Those silversides are like 4-5 inches each, but they float so the rays dont really get to enjoy :(

Where do you get 4-5" silversides?

Are they like smelt where they float unless you pop the swim bladder? I just snip behind the gill plate a few times with scissors and you can usually get it, then they just sail on down to the bottom.....

Great vid! That has to be a sight first hand....
 
Hikari has jumbo silversides 3+ inches, but this pack had to have the biggest I've ever seen .... in fact its been in my freezer for over a year waiting lol! Plus I save the smaller ones for other fish ... all the silversides I've ever bought, other than these sink, but the floating is better for the fish, just not the rays, but I wasnt sure if the rays would eat them... I've never fed them anything but massivores scallops and shrimp, but I should have known better, they'll eat anything! ...the Vit has always been the most aggressive tiger, you can tell the Goliaths will tentatively go for it, but if another fish makes a move they wont ... and I'm surprised, the dorado usually steals the first one out of whomevers mouth got it, but it took the fish a few seconds to realize SILVERSIDES!!!! So there was a delay ... its fun feeding silversides, but then the fish refuse pellets for a week or 2! Lol! Thanks guys, hope you enjoyed, and I really need to hold the phone further away from my mouth so you guys dont hear my heavy breathing! Lol!

I literally have about 10 1# bags of smelt in my freezer, but I wont feed it, ever since I had my first 2 Armatus die, for no reason whatsoever, cause they were eating the smelt like pigs and I think it was the reason ... you can actually see, in the last 30 seconds of the video I showed the silversides in my hand just for perspective, cause they really are huge ... now that I defrosted them the fish will eat them till their gone, probably about 2 more feedings, will be some very happy fish!
