lol the wild ;) what ever it says in spanish, most likely in brazil somewhere since kelberis are from brazil

It is in Brazil and it is Portuguese, not Spanish. More than likely it was taken in this reservoir,

Represa de Sobradinho

Bahia, BRA

Worst thing is allot of fisherman think they are a pest compare to "tastier" fish like pacu.

- They are in the new tanks for 2 weeks now. Just started to get used to the room and people walking around the tank.
- Temp 88°F
- Feed them Blackworm and silverside once a day.
- My largest kelberi is showing some aggression toward temensis. I thought kelberi are the least aggressive among all cichla sp ??
- Questions: when will they start to show gold color?? depended on their age or size??

i was told that they tend to be the least aggressive of the cichla sp. and they show spangles with size. i was recently is has alot to do with hormones, but don't forget water quality is extremely important as well.

That's what I thought, too. Today I fed them a lot bit more than usual, and this big one started to become aggressive and territorial. On the other hand, tem and orino were pretty peaceful. Mono was just being a mono.

monos are hogs and orinos are bullies, kelberis are shy but don't take any bull.. i never owned large tems, but when they are small to medium they are all show.

my kelberis are peaceful for the most part, they don't really cause any fights but if you nudge them they throw the woop down.

i almost had my new guy take krill... soon he will take krill and then they are all get trained to take pellets.
