hmm. i c. decision is getting a lot harder now. lol. i'll call up some private charters and see if i can get a good deal. if not on shore Catalina here i come lol i remember my uncle goes to an open part boat in LA and all he catches is small mackerel. so yeah. i'll do some more research and see what i can find.

yeah if your good at talking prices you could probably get them down to $500 for 7-8 hours

lol i can get my dad to do that. lol he bought my first car for 18k and the original price was 22000 so yeah

haha nice if your ganna stay for a couple of days take my advice and try to catch a batray they need a very simple set up (a hi-lo rig with size 4 hooks baited with squid, and atleast 30 pound line) they are an amazing fight but be careful of the stinger.

ok. lol do you keep the bat ray or do you release it

release but pick it up by the mouth (theres a little ridge inside you can put ur fingers around) and be carefull of the stinger =)

Stingrays can be finicky, but really fun though. I havent caught bat rays but have caught skates once on a west coast trip, also a sting in the gulf. Both times they stuck to the bottem like a pissed off grouper going into a hole. But they are really strong for their size.
