Really?

Ours is in the middle of a very nice strip mall. It (remodeled?) and dropped alot of it's need stuff a couple years ago, still very busy.

Did you get your pump and anything else good?

Good idea.

I got 2 pumps when I was there... I got the 1/2 hp subermisible pond pump for $19.99 after i compared prices with them to there internet prices. They were selling that pump for $59.99 at the store. That pump does 1855 gallons per hour.....

The second pump I got was a Marine Boat external self priming pump that is supposed to do about 250-300 gallons per hour... That was $40 online and at the store.... Then I had to build a power supply for the pump because it is meant to run off a 12 volt DC battery and I wanted to hooked it up to a wall... That cost me about $18....

I didnt get anything else but they had some cheap cheap stufff there!!:woot:

Cool

Yea, you have to take a copy of the internet price for them to give it to you, ours didn't like to do it awhile back but they're better about it now.

That $20 really moves some water !

Let me know how that marine pump works out...might have some plans for it.

I wish they carried everything that they have online in the stores. :headbang2

They have some diamond hole saws but not very big.

Wish they were closer (glad their not).

Marine Pump is amazing!! needs about 7 amps to start the prime and it idles at 5 amps.... you need about a 100 watt power supply operating at 12 vdc!! Does well though and can build enough psi to push through a sprinkler valve....

Hmm i might have to check out those diamond hole saws!! I need one badly

Did you just make a half wave psu / does the pump motor heat up?

Oh, Did you read the safety / instruction sheet ? (of course you did). I love these: # 1 in Assembly... Did you get the winch with it? (pump weighs 5lbs.)

# 4 in General safety..Takes all the fun out of it. :grinyes:

# 8 ...How does this make it self-priming.

Some of the others are hilarious.

Can we say 'Generic' instructions... and CYA !

Glads it's working for you.

Here it is guys... Should be my final paint sketch of the system!!

HAHA yea man its HARBOR FREIGHT baby I think they own every company that supplies them....

Motor doesn't heat up at all actually and it takes me 9 minutes to drain about 33 gallons.... I am more concerned about the transformer i used which is only rated to pull 3 amps.... My ghetto power supply I made does work fairly well though!! I currently have the entire system running smoothly now!! Its a few seconds off but I plan on fixing that tonight! Right now I have it working simotaneously, it sucks old water out and put's new water in at the same time... My roommate doesn't like because he thinks im sucking out a lot of the new water i am putting in.... but for One I am putting the new water into the sump first which then pumped from the sump to the tank and Two my return is on the opposite of the tank from the intake on the line to take the water out. I am guessing that about 5%-10% of the new water may be getting taken out with the old.... Let me know what you think... I will update with pictures and possibly video....
